Description

Intermittent short term missions and home-based. The USAID Green Annamites project is designed to help reduce the loss of forest biodiversity and the ecosystem services provided by forests. The project works in the provinces of Thua Thien Hue and Quang Nam, which harbour the largest primary and secondary forest areas of Vietnam. to support Central Vietnam’s transition to climate-smart, low-emission, and resilient development to protect people, landscapes, and biodiversity, the project hasn three main tasks: Increase application of low emission land use, Strengthen biodiversity conservation, and Increase resilience for vulnerable communities. As Biodiversity Conservation Expert my role is to provide on call support for the project’s Biodiversity Conservation Lead. Tasks to date included:

  • Drafting various Scopes of Work on a/o protected area management planning, biodiversity monitoring, capacity building, community forestry development, including overall and deliverable specific budgets.
  • Quality control of technical proposals of tenderers.
  • Quality control of the output of the Scopes of Work: critical review of deliverables.
  • Developing presentation of results and indications for follow-up project development for USAid missions.
