Description

Two missions. In support of the alternative livelihood development, I formulated a conservation oriented development strategy. For that, I reviewed data and land use and village development planning results compiled to date, and reviewed the development situation and opportuni-ties of focus villages in the buffer zone. I also formulated pilot projects (in agriculture, agroforestry, NTFP, grazing & livestock, fisheries, small business development and small infrastructures) and guided conceptually a group of national consultants in sustainable natural resource management through pilot project implementation. Other tasks included (non-exhaustive):

  • Managing the group of support consultants to implement pilot interventions: ToR development, consultant identification and recruitment, work planning and scheduling, coordination of inputs and outputs.
  • Development of an Activity Selection Tool, to guide the PARC Yok Don Community Development Team and government development agencies in conservation oriented buffer zone development.
  • Design and implementation of participatory 3D mapping (P3DM).
  • Training of project staff in P3DM.
